To receive ACC Level 1 certification, students must successfully challenge both the written and practical exams. The exams can be taken after successful completion of the online and onsite components of both the AA1 and AA2 courses.

The written exam is delivered online and includes point location, multiple choice questions related to acupuncture theory and safety, and case management. The exam is 1 hour and 45 minutes in length. A 75% passing grade is required.

The Level 1 written exam fee is $200.00 plus applicable tax. A current membership is required to register for exams.

Students can take either the written or practical exam first, as long as both are completed.
