To receive the ACC Level 1 certification, students must successfully challenge both the written and practical exams. The exams can be taken after successful completion of the online and onsite components of both the AA1 and AA2 courses.

The practical exam focuses on assessment of safe and effective acupuncture point location, safety, and needling skills. Practical exams are scheduled for the day after the AA2 course and each exam is 30 minutes in length. Students are tested by two examiners. A 75% passing grade is required.

The Level 1 practical exam fee is $350.00 plus applicable tax. A current membership is required to register for exams.

Do not book travel until your exam time and location are confirmed, after the registration deadline.

Students can take either the written or practical exam first, as long as both are completed.
