Welcome to Acupuncture Canada. Along with a new website and a newly revised core education program, we have a new name.

It’s a new name, but there’s a long, stellar history behind Acupuncture Canada. The organization was originally incorporated in 1974 as the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada. In 1995, AFC became federally incorporated under the name Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute.
Our mission has continued strong over all these years – a focus on the provision of competency-based continuing education in acupuncture for multi-disciplinary, regulated health professionals; collaboration with government, regulators and insurers; promotion of best practices; and outreach promoting the holistic benefits of acupuncture.
Acupuncture Canada has been instrumental in making acupuncture accessible to Canadians.
